Our map of NZ in Pride of Place

Reading presentations

The children have been reading non fiction books recently, about bugs in our backyard. They chose their creature and presented their findings to the class today. I am blown away by their creativity and enthusiasm for their learning. Well done to everyone!

Current Events

This term we have been having an exceptionally interesting time discussing the current events children have been choosing to bring in. Yesterday, someone brought in an article about the lack of male teachers in primary schools, and how this is affecting boys in particular. I filmed the boys as we discussed the issue. They are really getting really good at expressing themselves and stating their opinions! This can only be a good thing, regardless of the topic!
